Like any profession, a sales job becomes a lot easier once you learn the tricks of your trade. I believe that how well a salesperson learns the tricks of the trade can have a big effect on his success, income and career. The degree of success can also affect the salesperson’s happiness, family life and sense of self-worth. I am convinced that learning these tricks can be financially rewarding and prudent for any salesperson’s career. this is an extraordinary book that seams it was written from the heart of a true down to earth salesman on sales techniques. I have been in sales all my life in one way or the other and have been taught by the best in seminars as well as on hand by the top companies in the world. and with that said, enjoyed and even visually imagined this author and his approach to a lost art in his techniques. Matter of fact could write a book on how good it is. But will not I truly will share its knowlege and pass it on as well . myself as well would say it was fun to read This book does put in a way a different slant on sales, put into an laymen terms to understand. Its like a cell phone You got to get one!!!!

This book won’t teach you to sell, but will inspire those who sell for a living. About half the book is really quotes about selling–one liners that get you thinking. Examples are: “Everyone lives by selling something.” Robert Louis Stevenson, “Pack your today’s with effort–extra effort.” Thomas Watson, and “No one can remember more than three points.” Philip Crosby.
These one liners help the salesperson by doing two things: reinforces the importance of selling as a profession, especially when one looks at the authors of the quotes–and provides a fresh perspective with which to view the profession.
The other half of the book contains a series of one-page strategies grouped into the categories of motivating, preparation, presentation, and service. These tips will give either the novice or the veteran salesperson something to wrap their minds around in order to take their selling efforts to a new level.

Now it is possible to sell oil to Arabs, convert atheists, and sell refrigerators to Eskimos–but probably not worth the time compared to talking to people who have a clear need for your product or service.

Can’t Lose Sales Tips Audio CD Collection Reviews

Joe Girard was certainly a great car salesman in the 70′s which is admirable. His CD re covers a lot of the basics that so many have before and that’s really it. This would be a good CD to listen to a few times if you are starting out in sales. If you really want to work on your attitude you should just listen to Earl Nightengal or Zig Ziglar. For sales coaching this can’t touch anything Jeffrey Gitomer puts out and Gitomer goes much deeper into tips and tactics.
Joe Girard bills himself as the worlds greatest salesman and he is in the Guiness Book. His record for CAR sales is still untouched, but I doubt this record stands up to any criteria broader than that. I found it to be fairly unsophisticated and Joe’s grammer is weak in many places.
Make it one of the many sales books you read or listen to, but don’t make it the only….or even the first.

The biggest thing I got out of this Book on CD, was his personal life story. I was disappointed, I thought I was going to get more from him. but he did offer some good pointers. Such as,
* Whatever you’re selling is it good enough to put your name on the bottom?
* Salesman gotta remind that he is still there, with mail. He went on to explain about his mailing system.
* The greatest advertising in the world is the word of mouth. Take a great care of your customers.
* Make it stick when you close the sale: Ask her why she bought it from you instead of from other dealers/sellers she visited. This will let her tell you all the good stuff about you, and the bad stuff about other dealers. He also mentioned that you must feel good about yourself, you must be prepared emotionally. becasue they will react to your face. So you must believe, your face will show you if you believe or not. well thats how the books goes.CASE AGAINST:
He doesn’t present a lot of information, its short. Maybe his books would sell better if he offered more information.—-> “Solution Selling” would be a much better book to read
